Glazed 'fabric' folds and 1st porcelain vulvas.
Last week a teat piece offered a way of glazing - painting on a red underglaze - wiping this back - then dipping into frostly white glaze which had been left to settle a while after stirring. so instead of white it comes out an orangey-pinky-flesh tone.
I was quite pleased with the results, although the test piece was more subtle. I think I wiped away more of the underglaze. The vulvas look more life-like than I expected.
Found a new artist who's work I really like: Barbara Sorensen.
Hello Karen, what do you intend to do next?
ReplyDeleteWill it be more ceramics? Bye for now.
